Dr. Bill McCarberg received his medical degree from the Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his internship and residency in family medicine at Highland Hospital, Rochester, New York. Dr. McCarberg is a founding member of the Chronic Pain Management Program at Kaiser Permanente, San Diego, California and is a voluntary assistant clinical professor at the University of California, San Diego.
 
Dr. McCarberg is a member of numerous professional societies including the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Academy of Pain Medicine, and the International Association for the Study of Pain. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the American Pain Society, and is president and program chair of the Western Pain Society symposium committee. Dr. McCarberg currently serves on the Board of Clinical Directors of the National Pain Foundation, in addition to numerous other leadership roles in pain medicine societies.

A frequent lecturer, Dr. McCarberg has also authored several journal articles on pain management and is a co-editor of the National Initiative on Pain Control newsletter.  He is the recipient of the Elizabeth Narcessian Award for Outstanding Achievements in the Field of Pain Medicine from the American Pain Society, and the ASHPE Gold Award for Best How-To Article Series: Field Guide to Pain.

Brett Snodgrass, FNP-BC, MSN, APRN, is a Family Nurse Practitioner practicing at Comprehensive Primary Care in Bartlett, TN and Atoka, TN, specializing in family practice, pain management and palliative care. Brett is board certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, where she was recently nominated to the Nominations Committee. She presents locally and nationally to many different audiences, and has been an invited speaker at the American Academy of Nurse Practitioner's National Conference. She holds numerous hospital appointments around the Memphis Area. She is currently a preceptor for The University of Memphis, University of Tennessee, Union University and University of Alabama-Birmingham. She is also currently working on her DNP at the University of Alabama-Birmingham.
