Amy D. Shapiro, MD, is Adjunct Professor of Pediatrics at Michigan State University in East Lansing and Medical Director of the Indiana Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center in Indianapolis. Paula Bolton-Maggs, DM, FRCP, FRCPath, is Consultant Haematologist and Medical Director of the Serious Hazards of Transfusion program (SHOT), a UK-wide haemovigilance scheme based at the Manchester Blood Centre in Plymouth Grove, Manchester. She also has an academic appointment as Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester.
